At the invitation of the National Union of Psychologists, in partnership with the Progress and Socialism parliamentary group, the association's president took part in a study day at Parliament on 29 April 2026.

At the official invitation of the National Union of Psychologists (letter of 13 April 2026), in partnership with the Progress and Socialism group in the House of Representatives, the association's president, Mr Driss Berzik, took part in the study day held on Wednesday 29 April 2026 at 2 p.m. at the House of Representatives on the theme:

"Regulating the psychologist profession as an essential mechanism for protecting children and adolescents: psychological approaches to understanding and guiding child and adolescent behaviour in the age of digital transformation"

This scientific meeting aims to discuss the psychological challenges linked to digital transformation, to highlight the central role of psychologists in protecting children and adolescents, and to stress the importance of regulating the profession to guarantee the quality of psychological services and supervise practice, with the participation of academics, psychology experts, institutional actors and professionals.

Why this topic matters to the association

The association attaches great importance to psychological care and assessment and to their role in protecting children and adults from the consequences of family conflict. In its memorandum to the Commission in charge of revising the Moudawana, it asked that psychologists play an important role in helping the courts determine the best interests of the child when awarding custody, and in detecting incitement and manipulation of children for the purpose of revenge. Two years earlier, the association had already organised a scientific symposium bringing together psychologists, psychiatrists and coaches under the supervision of its board.
